She has played supporting roles in films like ''Alice'', ''The Little Princess'', ''Bandits'', ''The Back-up Plan'', and ''Primary Colors''. Born Margaret Ann Miley in Astoria, Queens, she had a sister Helen (1944-2009).〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Helen Mulligan Obituary: View Helen Mulligan's Obituary by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution )〕 She graduated from St. Jean Baptiste High School in 1959 where she was involved with theatre, and from St. John's University with a degree in Literature in 1963. She moved to Los Angeles and began working in soap operas. She resides in Burbank, California and New York City.
